"A Wink and a Smile"

A bit cool and overcast , but it was fun to spend some time with 4 of my 5 girls and the hubby. My girls had no troubles climbing. If anyone was a little hesitant it was me. The girls scaled the rocks and big steps with the greatest of ease. I was a bit more cautious in finding the perfect spot to put my foot. We all noted the beautiful scenery. GREAT DAY followed by a some errands and fish tacos!

My oldest daughter made this in her pottery class. Isn't it cool? I love the saying. Where she found it, I don't know (I'll have to ask). Lately I feel so in a hurry and this little saying seems to say to me ... SLOW DOWN!!!!! I know that everyday there is work to be done, but it's also important to squeeze in some down time. What moments today will take my breath away?

Actually it's called "CATCH UP TIME" . It's the time of the year (if you don't have plans) to ... paint parts of the house (outside doors, trim, downstairs bathroom, and *maybe* a kid's bedroom) detail cars ... vacuum and wash prune trees and shrubs de-clutter sleep in (this part I like) replace broken stuff (like two bedroom fans) play more OUTSIDE schedule some appointments (like dental cleaning ... ugh) It's this time of the year when our family needs to start fresh which always means a bit more work and some stripping away of things not needed. LENT ... bring it on!
