TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY ...

Sometimes this rectangular piece of equipment drives me nuts. Like when the same Disney shows are shown over and over again. A mom like me can get tired of watching Hannah Montana get a speeding ticket ... ugh. Sometimes I think I hear beeps, chirps, and other various sounds in my sleep. During the daytime hours, those sounds most likely come from the handy dandy 24/7 mini-computer/phone/ texting device. I remember when I didn't own one, or didn't hardly use it except for emergencies ;) Sometimes this magnetic screen sucks me and other family members into it for countless hours (over the course of a day). The lovely machine with an apple on it is oh so delicious. However, one can devour it for all of its entertaining value, and never really fill up. CURSE that APPLE! The machines (today's technology) are awesome. They entertain, they connect you with the world, and they provide information. I also love them because when I am feeling needy, they are there to comfo...

I was a mommy living in California with 2 small children.  My days were mostly quiet, but busy taking care of my girls.  We played in the house, went for walks, had park play dates, went to the store, and did some cleaning.  Occasionally I would get together with a MOMS group ... taking turns at different homes.  My brother and SIL (at the time) lived there and we would gather at each other's homes for meals. What I didn't do 10 years ago ... check email internet search and shop participate in a mommy board google blog facebook There are days TODAY that I feel like my time on this computer is way too much.  I realize that many other moms (and dads) feel like this too.  However, I do know one thing and that is, I feel less alone .  No, I don't really know all the people who respond on my blog and there is a great chance that I will never meet many of the "friends" that I have found on the computer.   At the end of the day, I don't feel quite as sad when I find...

I CAN SEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

You would think that since I have been using a computer for so long that I would know that you could change the text size on a computer screen ... and not just the size when I post (here and on my mommy board). Last night my husband laughed at his dear wife who was only inches from the screen squinting. It could have been that I was not wearing my glasses or that I really could use some stronger ones. It could also be that my text size was only normal and well, I need a little somthin', somthin' BIGGER so that I can see without strain. YAY!

My husband would be so proud ;)

You Are a Mac You are creative, stylish, and super trendy. You demand the best - even if it costs an arm and a leg. Are You a Mac or a PC? We already have one Mac, but our old (ancient) PC that the girls use is barely functioning. This Christmas will likely bring another Mac under the tree . If you wondered how much my husband loves (anything) APPLE you wouldn't have to think too hard ... (an email from the hubby) Busy busy... Ive been in mtgs since 5am... Still in mtg now, but I haven't had a chance to talk to you... Just wanted to say i love you! -S Sent from my iPhone Awwwwww shucks ... what a lucky girl I am!
