Just write ...

"Studies have shown that writing about oneself and personal experiences can  improve mood disorders , help reduce symptoms  among cancer patients , improve a person’s health after a heart attack, reduce doctor visits and even  boost memory ." (taken from this article) I told myself a few weeks ago that I should really start blogging again.  In late 2012 this blog had started to get quieter and then mid 2013, it just said frozen until January 2015.  It's not like I didn't have time to write, I just felt so unhappy and thought that I would have nothing good to share here. Yesterday I caught myself looking back on the many blog posts over the years and it just filled my heart with both pride and sadness at the same time.   Pride because I was writing and sharing so much, whether good or bad.  Sad because I chose to let my creativity through words and photos just stop.   For almost 2 years I have been really, really sad.  The only outlet of...

Alone in my house with 2 strangers ...

I've spent quite a bit of time in the last 16 months fixing up and painting all the rooms in my house  ... minus the downstairs small bathroom and my own bedroom.  In that time we have had some lighting/fans put in our house as well.  It's unbelievable to think that our 1969 house had minimal lighting requiring the use of lamps for nearly 44 years .  In 2015, who just uses lamps as their main source of light?   Anyway, with the adding of ceiling lights, meant some ceiling holes that needed patching and painting.   I do not mind painting, but after spending so much time doing all the walls in my house, I just didn't have the motivation to do the ceilings. So, we hired a painter and he came with a helper. I'm a lone woman in a house with 2 strangers.  They seem nice enough, but lets just say that i'm glad to have 2 dogs. What do I do when I feel I can't leave my house and when more than 1/2 of it is not accessible because it's being painted? This w...
