Another LOL or not :-/

When I think back just 8 years ago, I was only starting to use a computer. I did have a cell phone, but really it was not all that necessary (as I once thought). The cell phone posession was the idea of my tech-nerdy husband who thought I NEEDED it. I justified it because I had children and maybe there would be the chance that I would have a "just in case" moment . Now I can't imagine life without my computer or my cell phone. I even text message my husband. I do this because sometimes the messages are important, but not enought to interrupt his work day with an actual phone call. The messages might be hellos, reminders, or little love notes. Sometimes the texting is even a little "spicy" ;) Which leads me to this article that I found . As much as I think that I am going along with all the changes and technology, kids today are so much more into it. I wonder if the dictionary is looking into all these new terms and abbreviations. Just another reason to keep up ...

Do you have a DOG?

The other day I got a little doorknob hanger that advertised ... DOODIE KING Pet Waste Removal "Let us give your yard the royal treatment!" Do you love your dog, but just don't have the time or desire to clean up after the little guy? Call us!!!!! So for $9 1x/week I can have someone "remove" my yard waste. WHAT A DIRTY, STINKY JOB! It is kind of funny, but I don't think I could call this company. First of all, I wouldn't want to spend the money on that and second, I think that I should be responsible for my own dog's S#!T.

Finding the right TARGET AUDIENCE

Originally I started this blog just for me, or so that is what I told myself. I wasn't going to write something in hopes that I'd get tons of comments because that really isn't important . OR IS IT? It's a funny thing about blogging. Some days I will pour my heart out and get nothing ... no feedback. Other days I type down the shortest of notes and that gets noticed more. Maybe what I am writing is just not interesting. Maybe it is not being read ... just completely missed. OR maybe the writing just stinks and people are being kind not to respond with negative input. Some days I feel like I don't have the right target audience. The titles or labels that I apply to a post may not be the best match for the actual writing that I do. I ABSOLUTELY know that I am scattered in what I write. One moment it can be about my girls, my faith, my photographs, my life, my complaints, etc. My blog is all over the place ... I know that. I love that when I look at some of those popu...

I need to look at the calendar at the START of the day ...

Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima This morning I woke up early with a strong desire to find a Mary statuary for my mantle. For a while now I have wanted one, but I am terrible at making decisions when it comes to online (or any) shopping. I looked and looked, and was drawn to Our Lady of Fatima. After purchasing it , I stopped over at Margarets . At first I thought ... "what a coincidence!", but then a little later I looked over at the girl's daily planners and saw what today was. I think we will say The Rosary today.

Dear Mom,

I got really mad at {m} because she has a very big Attitude, and she whines way too much. I need you to have a big talk with her about it! Love (with a heart), {k} LOL ... gotta love those little notes.

Can't forget about little {m}

She is my serious one .  After a good race, we often say "Great JOB {m}!" and more often than not, the response is ... nothing.   A stoic one she is!

I spent my Mother's Day at the pool

AT first I was a little annoyed that "my day" would be spent at the pool for my girls, but they gifted me the best swim day EVER! It was a little selfish to think that I needed to do what I wanted to do, when really I should have known that this very day is celebrated BECAUSE of these 5 minnies of mine. What better way to spend the day than to rejoice in their accomplishments. It was a FANTASTIC SWIM DAY!!!!

Ok ... I need to post something

I can't continue to look at myself in pajamas on this blog ... and very bright, animated ones at that. Today the bubble came off one of the pools we use at our gym. What that meant for me was a very, VERY crowded parking lot come workout time. I don't enjoy walking all that much through a lot with small children in tow. They want to walk and people are just crazy in those lots. I really need to consider a new workout schedule for the summer. Heading to the gym at 4:30 PM is just nutty. I had to wait and wait on my STRIVE machines today. Thankfully I didn't have a problem getting on a treadmill, but my time was definitely cut short. Bubble off the pool also means that recreational swimming, swim lessons, and lots of teenage girls in teeny bikinis (the top often untied while they lay on their front) are what you see. I do recall baking ... I mean basking in a (half off) bikini at that age, but not so publicly. That was reserved for the backyard only. I am sure t...

Who else BUT ...

SUPER MOM could manage a family so well.  HAPPY MOTHER's Day to all those (other) SUPER Mommies out there! *And this is the first and last time you will see me in my jammies ... I promise!
