Things I learned at the gym yesterday ...

1. I AM (getting) OLD . Yesterday while running on the treadmill I caught part of a soap opera that I watched back in 1989-1990 ( while in college). I could tell this because I recognized a few of the characters. Back when I was watching that show, these actors were not super young and now their faces REALLY show it. I guess 18 years will do that. 2. It is always a good idea to get on a cardio machine NEXT TO someone who is in good shape . They usually motivate me to work a little harder. In recent times I have noticed that I get the in-shape people coming to use a machine near me. I can either take this as a compliment, that they like the particular machine, or just that it is the only machine left to get on. I prefer to go with my first thought. 3. Proper attire is necessary ... even down to the under essentials. Most of the time I wear shorts and a tank/short sleeve shirt made of that fancy sweatproof material. Yesterday I was all out of those clothes (they were in my dirty laun...

I am totally losing my marbles!

I was laying in bed reading my book when suddenly I remembered that I had NOT received the American Girl Doll and video game that I ordered in early December. I quickly got out of bed and checked through my emails and then went directly to my account at American Girl. Based on the order number, I had no history .... AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Quickly I am emailing the company begging them for info on the whereabouts of the doll my daughter has been asking for. Then on a whim I decided to check my husbands closet where I am stashing the gifts. ALL of my online orders are still in the boxes (unopened). I know that sound crazy to do, but as a gift came into my house I quickly wisked it away so no questions would be asked. WELL, guess what? The doll and game have been found in the box which (I knew) never says AMERICAN GIRL PLACE on it ... just the address. I am such a dum dum. Now I need to write another email to AG saying how sorry I am for the confusion. CLEARLY I am a confused lady.

At least you could have put pants and hind CROCS on me!

I am so EMBARRASSED!

I'm not so sure about this ...

You Are a Cranberry and Popcorn Strung Tree Christmas is all about showcasing your creative talents. From cookies to nicely wrapped presents, your unique creations impress everyone. What Christmas Tree Are You? Here in the SOUTH people are very serious about their decorating. I know many people even go so far as to have professionals do their outdoor lighting and indoor decorations. In my house, we all contribute to the decorations and it shows. When you walk into my house you don't say WOW , but you may say HOW CUTE (and not necessarily mean it). Children live in my house and while it is fairly neat and clean, I know that SANTA will have no trouble finding our house. We are a family with children and it SHOWS!

Just another one of "those" meme's ... ABOUT ME

I've been tagged by Shelly ... I may have done this before, but I will try to think without searching too hard. Rules: Each tagged person must post 8 random facts or habits about themselves on their blog. At the end of the post, choose 8 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment telling them that they are tagged and to read your blog. Have fun! 1. I am rather vain about my appearance ... If you saw what I looked like at this very moment you might find that VERY hard to imagine. I exercise (sometimes sporadically, but lately diligently), try to buy clothes that are a little hip(not too sexy, but more classy), and I make sure that I never leave the house with undone hair. When I go out for a date or special occasion I really take particular care to look my best ... hair done up a little better, more makeup, and slightly sexier look. I aim to look good for my husband, but a small part of me wishes to be noticed by more people. 2. I love the beach...

American Idol Christmas ...

I know that many people gave this boy some grief over his looks and his crooked teeth (now he has some shiny veneers) , but I really did think that he had a great sound. Over the last few months I have heard his songs on the radio and he even has a Christmas CD. Sounds groovy to me ... http://video.ivillage.com/player/?id=168146 His sound is very soulful ... like a Stevie Wonder. Love it!
