He has THE BEST eyes, doesn't he?

They're like looking into a beautiful blue sky!

A humbling moment today ...

Today I had the most adult conversation in a very long time. The reason ... I was volunteering at Vacation Bible School with our parish. I was having this lovely conversation with a woman who has a daughter (same age as my #4) and a son. She was talking with me about activities, school, television. Somewhere during the conversation she realized I had not 3, but 5 daughters. I don't usually rattle that fact off to everyone. Many people who don't even know me that well, but know of me, just KNOW that I have 5 girls. Of course I get the usual ... "I don't know how you do it" "Managing 5 other schedules ... WOW!" I just say the same thing all the time ... "my husband MADE ME have all these KIDS!" (just kidding) NO REALLY, I just say "I only had one at a time and I just do the best I can" Really, we all do the best we can. Some days are great and nearly everything happens the way I want it to. Finding GOOD MUSIC

What’s in a lyric? It doesn’t have to be ‘Christian music’ to be Christian music (taken from the above link) It doesn’t have to be “Christian” music for God to give it the thumbs up. Musicians are gifted with an ability to bring other people enjoyment through use of a talent that most people don’t possess. Greg, in fact, said it may even be more of a challenge to be an artist who is a Christian rather than a Christian artist. Christian musicians are, in effect, often preaching to the choir, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Artists who possess a Christian faith and who play mainstream secular rock for instance, have an opportunity to gift a listener not only with their talent, but with a message. I'm not a big Christian Rock listener. It isn't that I don't like it. Mostly I just haven't really exposed myself to it. I do like a variety of music and I try my best to listen to the words of the songs that I hear. Of course there is a lot of junk out there ... terr...

Prayers for our new BISHOP!

Last Thursday I took my oldest daughter downtown for the ordination of our newest Bishop. Our state and only diocese has been without one for 2 years, so this was a really big deal. What a beautiful thing to bear witness to. This could possibly be the one and only time that I get to see something like this and I really felt honored. Prayers go out to our newest Bishop Anthony B. Taylor . With the grace of God I pray he will do a wonderful job.
