Something NEW we learned TODAY

Swim Fins Benjamin Franklin was an avid swimmer from a very young age. Throughout his life he consistently promoted its healthful benefits. At the ripe old age of 11 he invented a pair of swim fins. However, unlike today's foot flippers, these were attached to one's hands. His advocacy for swimming was recognized by his induction into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1968. Cool, HUH?

The SUMMER FAIR SCHEDULE is up and I am hosting one of them!

YIKES ... My very first FAIR! I was checking out Elizabeth's blog and saw the lovely summer fair choices ... Summer Food on July 9 (Sarah will be your hostess) Little Boys on July 16 (Monica will be your hostess) Summer Reading July 23 (Sarah R. will be your hostess) The Seashore on July 30 (Elaine will be your hostess) Clearing the Clutter August 6 ( Lorri will be your hostess) Summer Gardens August 13 ( Ruth will be your hostess) "Back-to-School" Supplies and Lesson Plans August 20 ( Kim will be your hostess) Summer Vacations August 27 ( Cindy will be your hostess) *I am not exactly sure what will be up my sleeve, but I LOVE THE SEASHORE, the beach, or the plain ol' shore (depending on where in the US you come from). I have seen some great fairs before. Hopefully I will do a good job!
