THAT CATHOLIC SHOW!

I would say it was 2 years ago when I came upon The Rosary Army via Catholic Family Podcast . My husband loves to download podcasts and turned me onto them. Anyway, my husband is so excited about his new CATHOLIC faith. I guess I shouldn't be suprised that he started to do his online search for Catholic podcasts ... there are a lot of them out there. He loves listening to podcasts or audible books on his long drive to work. "That Catholic Show" (video clips) is made by the Rosary Army and they are really CLEVER. I am lovin' it! Here is one video clip on "confession". There are several other shows helping to explain a bit of the Catholic faith. You'll need to pause my music so that you don't hear too much of a good thing ;)

We are big READING RAINBOW fans!

A few times a week at about the 7:30pm time, our family (even the 12 year old) sits down and watches the recorded READING RAINBOW shows. What I like about this is that it shows like a book and not a movie. We've also learned some cool things ... like how bowling balls are made. My girls were never interested in this show at any point (especially during the daytime hours), but it seems that at the end of a long day and before bed, we can quietly watch this show and EVERYONE listens.

I should have just stuck with PLAIN WHITE

You would think by the 5th girl I would remember how often those little panties need to be changed. {c} - "I need my Strawberry Shortcake ones!" ME - "Here you go" {c} - "NO! The other ones!" We have Disney Princess ones and some Strawberry Shortcake. Throughout the day I find random panties on the floor. They are not wet or dirty (at least I don't think so ... I learned long ago not to do the sniff test). She is just a girl and when the mood strikes she needs to change things up a bit. I SHOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT WHITE PANTIES. The LAUNDRY MACHINE is running. What else is new? *By the way, little {c} is doing GREAT with potty training. Maybe having a late start meant that she was really ready. After almost 13 years I may finally be free from having to buy diapers.

One thing I DO NOT LOVE about Spring

TORNADOES We are fine, but there is a good amount of damage in our town and outside areas. I am not sure I have ever been that close in the path of a tornado. The girls were a bit frightened by the sirens and the fact that we pulled them out of bed while they were sleeping and shoved them in a closet. We said some Hail Mary's ... I think that helped! Hopefully after today we can enjoy some sunny, eneventful weather days.

10 THINGS SPRING ...

Outside play time Flip flops, sandals, skirts, sundresses, capris, and short-sleeved shirts Gardening My inner desire to organize, declutter, and clean The laundry bulk lessens (with 5 children that is a big deal) BBQ weather SALADS and fruits Sitting in a car warm from the sun My excitement about taking more PICTURES *I like to title this photo " Hair is a flower for you Mom!"
