"A Wink and a Smile"

I'm lucky in that I have an easy vacation spot ... my mom's house on the beach. It's a quiet little place that requires a spendy ferry ride to get on the island. Residents get a break with ferry passes, but it is still not cheap. The positive with this, is that you won't deal with crowds. It has some beautiful backdrops so that someone like myself can snap, snap away ... AND, I did take a lot of pictures (close to 800) If you were thinking "that's it?" ... don't worry, there are a lot more pictures to follow .

I'm not sure at what AGE pictures from the rear are no longer CUTE or ACCEPTABLE , but this little one is newly "4" ... I think it's still all good ;) Sometimes these little girls even look like they are best friends. I need to frame this one and remind them of that when they are fighting over toys and other stuff ;)

Took a little trip to the great big state of TEXAS where we needed to pick up this girl ... Who spent the week at a camp learning from the best of the best ... After picking her up, we spent a few days in this great big pool ... We spent 2 full days participating (3 of my girls anyway) and watching lots and lots of SWIMMING ... Then we headed on over to see some BIGGER swimmers ... I wish I could say that I have tons of great pictures to share, but I don't. That's rare for me on a vacation. TEXAS IS HOT and not all of us look as cute (all sweaty) as THIS ONE ...

All 500 or so of them. When you take that many, you need to put them somewhere.   So where are they? On the husband's laptop (his work computer that is NOT at home).  I never not have access to my pictures after a vacation. I guess I could blog with words, but pictures always tell my story better ... waaaahhhhhhhhh! Here is the very short and thoroughly boring explanation for my blogging disappearance.   My husband and I piled our bunch of 5 minnies into our gas guzzling car driving through 6 states.  We made our stay in Florida where we visited Grandma G at her lovely beach house.  My 2 sisters (and their family) came.  There we did a small memorial for the one year anniversary of my Dad's passing ... it was lovely.  After a few days there, we loaded up the car once again and headed to the world's happiest place -DISNEY.  Grandma G, Aunt H, Uncle C, and cousin G came along.  Nice trip with lots of memories.  Some so memorable that I could probably make an entire blog about...

I have TONS of pictures from my trip to FL. Lots of really good ones. Some of them I would like to play around with, and many of them I would like to make into a photo story (something I have not done in a while). MAYBE I will get around to it this week. I did promise my brother, so that has to make the process go a little faster. GUILT works ... huh! Anyway, a sneak peek at a few that I liked ...
