Happy Friday ...

Things that make me smile ... *When my broken DVD player for the car is under warranty, and the dealership decides to replace the whole thing because they can't figure out how to fix it. *When my cute almost 3 year old says "You like my ROSARY?". She is wearing a necklace, but it's just a RexFest Fun Run participation medal on a chain. To her it came from Jesus' place and therefore it must be a ROSARY. *It is a beautiful day and I am looking forward to a lovely weekend. Usually by this time of the year, I am looking at temps in the upper 80's and near 90. We really haven't seen those temps yet. Now that I have said that, next week will be stinkin' hot. I'll take today though. *We got our lovely check from the government for our 72 children. This means that when we head to Disney, they can now eat food and go on rides ... WOO HOO! *2 more Fridays and we are DONE WITH SCHOOL! Actually, I will be done with the homeschoolers sooner than that, but shhh...

You still believe that you will change the world. You detest authority and rules. Deep down, you're a non conformist. What Generation Do You Belong In? HT to Catholic Teacher Musings

Somebody who makes a big difference. I know, I know ... I already am mommy to 5 minnies and that is a great big job. There are days that I feel really good about my role in their lives, but other days can be so darn frustrating . I love being a stay at home mommy. In earlier days it was a bit chaotic (who am I kidding? I still have a lot of those type of days. I can just handle it better) and emotional. Many times I just felt overwhelmed and on occasion I just wanted to flee (sometimes I still feel that need). Nowadays, I feel like family life is a well oiled machine (most of the time). We are always busy ... activities, work, learning, etc. Now that I have children of babysitting age, I even get a little freedom to myself at times. I'm so glad for those little time-outs now. STILL ... I long to do something that showcases a little bit of me. I love taking pictures. I especially love a good story. When I can see a story in a photo I am drawn to it. Last summer I even took a phot...
