My life in a MEME ...

I have been tagged by a Dad who lives in a running shoe and has so many children ... The rules of the game get posted on the beginning. Each player answers the questions about himself. At the end of the post, the player tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read their blog. What I was doing ten years ago: I was a stay at home mom to just 2 little girls who were about 2.5 and 6 months old. I lived in CA and did things like Mommy and Me class, Moms Group, lots of neighborhood walks, visited a lot of playgrounds, and occasionally I got in a rare nap. Life was simple and I didn't even know it! Five things on my To-Do list today: (Well the day is over, but I can give you tomorrow's plan) Morning drop off at Catholic school Field trip with homeschooling group to a recycling center. Bake brownies for my daugher's sleepover later that night. Pick up house, get 2 gi...

Yesterday I listened to ...

Catholic Family Podcast where they interviewed Tarek Saab (check out his multimedia video) and I have to say that I was quite impressed by him. Even though I am not a 20 something male, I may just have to check out his book ... His discussion on the addictions that our American society is facing today was just so "real". It really had me thinking about making some changes within my family. Summer sounds like a good time to take them on!

My car needs a vacation!

GAS PRICES are killin' us right now. With my driving routine right now we easily fill up the tank every 5 days and with the price at $3.50 right now ... OUCH! Hopefully the summer months will give my car (Yukon XL) a little bit of a break. Of course we will start off the summer with a big road trip to FL and I know that will be very pricey. For now I am trying to make every car trip worthwhile ... combining shopping and errands so that there is not the constant go out, go home, and go out again. This doesn't necessarily make my little ones happy when they are stuck waiting for their sisters to finish up activities. After yesterday, I really need to be better prepared with snacks, books, coloring materials, etc. to keep us occupied while we wait. Another challenge is DINNER . Because I am not home in the afternoon I really need to prepare dinner before lunch. WHY? ... so that we can actually eat dinner at a normal hour and not at 7:30pm when my grumpy children have complained ...

First Holy Communion and 8th birthday ...

(Sunday and today) Wishing my beautiful little girl so much ...
