"A Wink and a Smile"

Why does your mom deserve to be Mother-Of-The-Year? Because she works hard to help around the house.  She helps me with stuff I can't do. What do you like best about your mom? She is nice and loving.  She does a lot of stuff together with me. What are your favorite things to do with your mom? Go shopping or stay home and do stuff on the computer. If you could give your mom anything in the world, what would you give her? I would give her a brand new computer because she likes getting on the computer a lot. You know what this child said REALLY LOUDLY to her entire table after I read that out loud to her???? "Yeah, my mom likes to do FACEBOOK  a lot" (blushing) Happy (early) Mother's Day to all those FABULOUS MOMS who take the time to read this blog of mine!!!!!!

Today is the 58th annual observance for NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER Is it silly to pray that more people find it in them to PRAY MORE? I'm going to do it anyway. For myself I am feeling so many wonderful blessings right now ... jaw surgery that ended up being covered by my insurance my husband's job ... that he has and is doing well at a brand spanking new niece born on 5/5 ... McKenzie Mae good health in my family peace and happiness that my older sister is experiencing  ... YAY! I certainly wouldn't mind if those who read this would pray that I can properly discern my 2nd daughter's school future this upcoming year. She is currently in the 5th grade. While she has done well in her current school (after a year of homeschooling), we are contemplating homeschooling her (once again)through the middle school years.  She loved it, she thrived, and it really worked for our family.  It would also save our family a lot of $$$$ in tuition (she goes to a private school now).  My hear...

When I was a little kid, I used to call them THONGS. I'm not sure when the term got changed, but it did. Maybe it was when they developed a certain type of undergarment by the same name ;) ANYWAY, I've always done the cheap flip flop ... OLD NAVY ones that usually are 2 for $5. While I still go with those in a variety of colors to match my spring/summer attire, I kept seeing all these fun flip flops this year. I'm not sure why these YELLOW BOX flip flops have to cost $29, but they are super cute and fun ... SO I SPLURGED. I may have to get another pair. They are super comfy too. I love that I can just slip on quick footwear that is comfortable. I love that you can easily see nicely polished toes. I love that you can never have enough flip flops. I love that flip flops have always been in style ... at least for my whole life.

This is Auggie and Comet's Mom ... She is standing with her hands on her hips because she is FRUSTRATED. Why is she FRUSTRATED? Could be because there has been   tons of  RAIN  which means MUD in the yard and really dirty dogs  This means that she is giving more showers (to herself and to her dogs), doing less gardening (which is desperately in need of some help), and going just a little stir crazy INSIDE. SPRING ... ugh , love it, but also DESPISE IT.
