It should be a good month ... my birthday (it was the 11th), Valentine's Day. BUT this year February seems to be dragging. Too many snow days with too many cold days for this converted Southerner. I am dealing with a bit of stress that I cannot share ... yet. I should be eating better and exercising more. I'll admit that I've fallen off the bandwagon. My LENTEN promise is going well. At least I got that going for me. Tomorrow would be my Dad's 72nd birthday. Sadly he only saw 69. School stuff is driving me a little batty. I think February is known for that. I'm feeling a little sadder than usual. My blogging has been weak at BEST. ((((SIGH)))) Is MARCH coming soon? I can't wait!

Well, not the GRAND PRIZE winner, but I did win in the special category division ... most artistic! Thank you to my lovely 12 year old daughter who photographed this picture. One of these days I will have to sit down with her and try to share some of my tips, but for starters she has a great eye and that is a good thing to have. My thanks also to Deacon Bo who seems to have some unlocked artistic skills ... especially in the area of ash application. Every time I see that ash it really does look like Jesus on the cross. Am I just crazy in thinking that?

of BUYING ... a balloon (although, I know that I would probably need a full pack of them) yeast (along with the balloon, it was needed for a science experiment) water filter cartridge for my refrigerator YUP ... that was all I needed. But wait! Hmmmm, this looks interesting ... Or maybe this looks even better ... Plop ... I put that second idea into my shopping cart because I sure could use that. Then I continue on. Passing by the cleaning supplies. Surely I NEED something from one of these 4 aisles. Thinking, I decide that dusting supplies are low. I grab what I think I need. My bedroom furniture will be so happy . Pushing that cart along ... Oh yeah , those dogs need food. Do I really want to go to another store to purchase dog food? Heck no! I'll just put that 40lb. bag into my shopping cart. YES! I t's even on sale ... $1.20 off the original price (LOL). Keep on pushing that cart. I should get some dinner for the next two nights.
