The KINDERGARTEN TRIP TO THE FARM ...

Was soooooooo much f u n ! The children were well behaved, the weather was just perfect, and of course I got to snap a few good pictures (which I love). I love this photo of Miss {c} and her very big smile. She was so genuinely excited to run through the mazes. This was {c}'s field trip partner who was ALSO very excited and willing to smile for the camera. I love how little girls this age like to hold hands and get close. So sweet! This was the entire class. Except for the one girl sitting under the scarecrow, everyone was happy and silly! Such a great day with my littlest girl :)

HooRAY!

THINGS TO BE HAPPY ABOUT ... 3rd time was a charm and my crown finally fit my tooth and it appears to be all good. Took the family to a corn maze to experience a little bit of FALL and snap a few good pics. It's raining today and that is a GOOD THING. It's been so dry and the ground needs it. Besides, I sometimes like a dreary, rainy day ... it can cheer me up. I'm settling into my new job, but I will BOLDLY admit that I feel crazed and a million miles away. Taking this on has been a challenge in so many ways. Healthy children Tried this recipe the other day and it made me so happy. Seriously EVERYONE who loves fall and who loves pumpkin needs to make them. Smart children who are doing really well in school ... and at home. People who believe in you and think you can do anything ... thank you DEAR :)

It REALLY STINKS when you drive to the perfect little spot

To take some pictures Just scenery sort of shots. 'Cause I only had one child with me and things seemed easy enough. Except ... I only got about 10 pictures in, when the battery in my camera just shut down . No, I do not have another spare battery in my camera bag. No, 10 pictures is NEVER enough for someone who likes to take pictures. To get 10 GOOD pictures, you may need to take 100. Well, maybe that is exaggerating a little. Needless to say, I was bummed ... ((((SIGH))))) Guess I need to find another perfect day to try ... with a fully powered up CAMERA ;)

Wordless WEDNESDAY ...

L ooks like FALL !

Wordless Wednesday ...

THE LEAVES ARE FALLING FAST!

On my run this morning I got this lovely view.  Unfortunately the sun was not really shining.I would have had some amazing photos yesterday with all the color.  The few hours prior to this photo ... it rained.  Of course when it rains, the leaves come falling down ... Can you guess where my property line ends?   Hopefully the lady next door will not curse us when our leaves blow onto her yard ;)   WE ARE NOT CLEANING UP UNTIL SATURDAY.   Of course I am tempted to get out there with a rake, but my husband would say that was a waste of my time.  His thoughts ... "let ALL the leaves fall, and I'll just use the lawn mower to vacuum, mulch, and bag those annoying leaves".

Sometimes you forget the really simple things ...

Like how a little 3 year old can have so much fun just playing (for free) on a playground in the neighborhood. I used to take my older girls when they were small to the playground ALL THE TIME . Especially when we lived in CA, I had my pick of about 8 different playgrounds. When we moved to NJ, I didn't frequent the playgrounds all that much because we really didn't have a great pick. We also had our first backyard playground so my girls had entertainment right outside my house doors. Today where we live, we also have a playset in the backyard, but I guess sometimes what you have can be boring. I took little {c} to a playground and she had so much fun. I enjoyed just sitting outside ... the weather is just beautiful (sunny and 70 degrees). What was especially nice was being away from my house and the many distractions. I got to play with {c}, watch her climb, swing, and slide. There was also the opportunity for me to take some pictures which always makes me happy. For ...

BRING IT ON ... FALL

I am just SO READY! Where I currently live, fall really is the nicest of seasons ... when it happens (around late October).   I am looking forward to ... the cooler temps the really BLUE skies the broken in jeans  the long sleeve shirts the (cool) mornings when I get to warm up my butt with the heated seats in my car the fading freckles on my face the jazzier music that I find more seasonal (note the change in my playlist) the beautiful fall foliage the pumpkin spice coffee that I can NOW order from Keurig the air that I breathe when I run is just not as thick the time with God that I pray ... seems I just need to say more this time of year the new shoes that I look forward to buying (soon ...) bike rides with my girls pumpkins and all the recipes that I like to make that include PUMPKINS camping outside with my family taking PHOTOS ... lots of them ... this is a warning ;)

Just a small makeover ...

New header and some new c o l o r s . Not sure that I love it, but I needed something different for FALL. Today starts the first of many days that temperatures will not get out of the 60's ... woo hoo ! Fall foliage should also start to become more noticeable by the weekend. I just love this time of year. The weekend was WONDERFUL and tons of pictures were taken.

Sounds lovely right about now ...

You Belong in Fall Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times... You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you What Season Are You? I am growing weary of the triple digits. Looking out of our learning room I see the beautiful trees blowing in the wind. It almost looks like a "cool" day, but I know if I walk outside it will be a HOT BREEZE. Bring on the FALL!!!!!
