"A Wink and a Smile"

Apparently Procter and Gamble - the biggest laundry detergent maker - is testing a product that will allow laundry slackers to put off doing their wash. With a spray or a wipe wrinkles, stains and odors can be removed from clothes ... all without washing.  The product is SWASH   and their 4 products include ... Fresh It Up - a spray to remove odors (Isn't this essentially Febreze ) Get It Out - a stain erasing pen (Don't they already make a product like this?) Smooth It Out - a spray to remove wrinkles (I know this was invented way long ago) Steam It Out - a moistened cloth to toss in the dryer with the clothes to remove odors and wrinkles (Isn't this just like DRYEL ?) I'm sure you have heard of the term ... A helicopter parent is a term for a person who pays extremely close attention to his or her child or children, particularly at educational institutions. They rush to prevent any harm or failure from befalling them or letting them learn from their own mistakes, sometimes even contrary to the children's wishes. They are so named because, like a helicopter, they hover closely overhead, rarely out of reach, whether their children need them or not.  Last night was one of those crazy evenings ... rushing to and from swim practice,  trying to make dinner and bathe 2 little children before heading to a bible study.  I left my husband in charge of homework and bed.  While at my bible study my 10 year old texted me saying that she needed a mushroom for science.  So at 9:30pm I am stopping at the local grocery store to pick one up.  When I got home I put it in the refrigerator.  My daughter was already in bed. This morning I do my usual reminders ....

Asking me for help with something in the kitchen when I am sitting on the potty. Walking into my closed room when I am practically nude. *I don't need compliments on my underwear either. My children asking for my help when I am in serious multi-task mode and there is a perfectly good dad just doing nothing. The endless questions that they already know the answer to because I told them a million and one times. The toilets that go unflushed. *Maybe they think they are conserving water? The bathroom sinks with icky toothpaste all over ... ewwwwww! The unbelievable amount of clothes that can never seem to find their way to a dresser drawer or a closet. *It's already that time to go through the closets/drawers and remove/exchange things. I HATE THAT JOB! The itty bitty toy pieces that I find and dump on the stairs until they either get thrown away or I put them away. If someone other than me attempts to find the home for that toy ... it just doesn't happen. My children like to ...

After some morning chores, we decided to be tourists in our own city.  Daddy walking with 5 girls and mommy trailing behind with her camera. To get to our "city" if you can even call it that, it takes about 15 minutes and there is almost always available parking.  That is how "BIG CITY" my city is ;) OKAY girls, show me the CHEESE ... We headed to the River Market for a quick walk through.  What girl can walk past a table of sunglasses?  Not any of my girls!  Silly {c} ... you can really see both her mom and dad in those eyes of hers.  Maybe even a sister or two. Oh  ... HI there! I love how this girl really loves spending quality time with her family.  Her mind is always focused on what really matters. For some reason our city enjoys making or converting bridges for walking or exercising.  This is NOT the BIG DAM BRIDGE, but just one of a few pedestrian walk bridges.  I guess it is a neat way to view our great (ha), big (not) city.
