I'm starting to stress ...

Again it is the TEETH Jaw surgery is coming up ... It could be one or two jaws ... I'll know Monday. I will be eating next to nothing unless I can get it through a syringe or a straw.  Even a straw may be off limits ... no sucking. I'm looking rather fit for me ... even sort of thin. I may be a waif by the end of February. A bikini this summer may be something I may just consider. Jaw surgery may not be so bad. Maybe ...

The CREEPY DOLL

Well this is not a doll, but my real life 3rd daughter in the year 2000.  She is rather sweet and almost looks like a doll. BUT, this is the doll .  A few years back my mom gave her to {m}.  She said that Poppie (my dad) thought this looked so much like her as a baby and he really wanted {m} to have it.  I really am not "into" life-like looking dolls, but my dad was on his death bed and how could I say no to taking this doll home with us. She may almost look like a real baby, but honestly my big babies WERE NEVER THIS BIG ... EVER!  This doll is huge and she is heavy ... made of porcelain.  Even her dress is quite gaudy. I would have changed it out with baby clothes, but I couldn't  because ... THIS DOLL IS FAT.   She really is way off the charts. AND ... this doll is missing a finger that my mom put into a small ring box for me to take home.  She said ... "just glue the finger back on".   I never did.   For some reason this ring box finger sits in my jewelry d...

Nobody listens to me (sniff, sniff)

I feel like one of those adults in the Charlie Brown cartoons ... "mwa, mwa, mwa, mwa ...." Of course the children living here think I speak a foreign language, but even the students that I teach in Sunday school just don't seem to hear me. Yesterday was Epiphany Sunday.  I started off the lesson with a discussion about the meaning of epiphany, why we celebrate it, and we even did a small craft.  I then went onto our regular lesson ... more that they didn't really pay attention to.  No one seemed to be able to do the review questions at the end. The big kicker ... so embarrassing to me, was when one of our Deacons came to our classroom to do a blessing.  He asked about 4 questions and only one child answered the very last one.  I really looked like the teacher who didn't prepare her students (argh). HELLLOOOOOOOOOOO ... how come no one seems to hear what I have to say? This whole religious education thing is starting to get me down.  Students just show up occasio...

I'm up ... really I am

Last night I had one of those nights where you just look and stare at the numbers on the clock ... every darn hour . YAWN ... I am not looking forward to the start of school tomorrow.  This mommy needs to get to sleep earlier and get some routine so she doesn't crash and burn.
