FRIDAY FLUFF and STUFF

Fridays should be so relaxed and casual. Seriously 4 day weeks are all I can handle, but I am forced by society to trudge on just one more day. Some (Fri)days can be great (accomplishing a lot), but other days they may just as well be a pre-Saturday without the hubby. Random Friday fluff ... I heard some great retro music today. I totally admit to loving the 70's. On todays list was Neil Diamond. I love that I can sing his songs and know all the words without much thought. Do the lyrics make sense? ... not sure, but gosh darnit ... I KNOW THEM!!!!!!! Sweet Caroline or how 'bout Cracklin Rosie ? I assisted my husband in picking out his newest glasses. He is a bald man ... a very cute man. I showed up very quickly after his noon time appointment and helped him to decide which GLASSES (or "special eyes" as we call it in our house). WE went for a dark rimmed frame. At first I thought a dark rimmed top with an unrimmed, clear bottom. However, I just didn't thing that...

TODAY I AM

Re-directing my focus . This computer will be shut down and we are going to get some SERIOUS reading done ... the kind that involves a book with actual pages ;) I'm finding myself a little too affected by what is happening with our world. I love reading and listening to the news, but sometimes it really just eats away at my soul. Way too much negative stuff out there. I can't take a *real* vacation yet, but a little mental one is necessary. On tap today for reading ... Biography of John Hancock Life of Christ ... yes, I am going to really finish this book (sometime before Lent is over) Muggie Maggie ... some light and fluffy reading with {m} {k} will read her novel and hopefully more than 15 pages *We also need to do some more writing . I promised my 10 year old that I will set her up with some online blog (a private one). * Piano lessons today. I wish that I could say that my girls actually practice 15 minutes daily, but this does not happen. Now they need to cram in some...

Spreading the *GOOD NEWS*

Last night my husband and I attended RCIA and the discussion was on Natural Family Planning. http://www.ccli.org/ The method was nothing new to me ... I have practiced it, but the way in which it acts as a "gift" to ones marriage was never, EVER talked about. I got it and so did my husband.

Random stuff...

Sometimes you THINK you need to get back to the "old", but really when something is working well ... WHY change? This is a question that I keep asking myself. I am being rather vague, but this relates to something I have been doing for less than a year. Decisions can be so hard. This still needs a lot more thinking. Tonight I watched American Idol all by myself. Faves for tonight were David Archuleta and David Hernandez. The other David was pretty good too. I was really hoping to be blown away by Michael Johns, but he was just so, so tonight. I do think he will remain safe because he does have that "it" factor ;) My hubby is sick and all the girls went to bed early. Our house has been battling a stomach/fever bug for nearly a month now. It never seems to get terrible, but one day you may feel sick and then next day better, and then sick again ... very weird! I feel GOOD, but I should not speak too loudly. I read a really amazing book that I can't stop thinkin...

She is such a GIRL!

My husband I came home from a little date ... dinner at a Hibachi restaurant. Anyway, our oldest helped out a lot (she was a blessing this weekend) and put all her sisters to bed. After I changed out of my fancy clothes, I heard my little 2.5 year old crying over the baby monitor. When I went into {c}'s room , I was forced to turn on the lights because I was tripping over stuffed animals. {c} was standing in her crib while I did a quick cleanup. She looked at me (eyes half open), stopped crying, and said "Mommy where is your pretty skirt? ... you looked so pretty!" LOL! My little girl had noticed that (earlier)I had donned a skirt for my night out. She herself almost never wears pants ... only pretty dresses or skirts. She must have been so happy to see me dressing up like a "Pretty GIRL"!
