Stop TEXTING Silly Girl!

I'm in the kitchen cleaning up when little {c} ... the four year old, says to me "Mommy, Daddy is on the phone for you!" {c} had my phone and was playing a matching game ... or, so I THOUGHT. When I got on the phone with my husband he told me his conversion play by play ... {c} texted my husband 4 x with MY iPhone. Daddy called and little {c} knew it was him because his picture comes up ;) She asked "did you get my texts?" He said "yes, I was going to ask you about them. I wasn't sure what you meant" Little {c} replied "they were about the show {k} watched ... Charlie Brown" Then I got my phone back. I think little {c} realized her dad wanted to talk with her mom ;) I should be more careful when letting little {c} play with my phone. Who knows who she'll TEXT NEXT?

3 SMALL Successes this week ...

Here they are ... 1. Thoroughly cleaned, decluttered, and organized the little girls bedroom and bathroom. I don't know how such little people can make such a big mess, but they do, and NOW it is clean. How long will that last? I wonder ... 2. Scheduled some appointments ... Dogs to the VET for their boarding over Thanksgiving week and my consultation at the DENTIST. Have I mentioned that the BRACES COME OFF on November 9th? After that I hope to have a little whitening done and some bonding. The consult is for the after braces come off work. I CANNOT WAIT ... it's been a long 2 years and almost 7 months. 3. Got in a little ALONE TIME with the husband. We met for a bagel and coffee at our local Panera this morning. After Adoration he headed there to do some "work". He wanted a morning away from work to actually GET WORK DONE ;) It was nice to have a little time together even if he mostly did work and I read one chapter in my fun read .

Disappointing first High School Dance ...

My 14 year old was so excited about this dance ... a Sadie Hawkin's dance where she had to ask one of the boys in her class to go. We DON'T do the boyfriend thing, so this was just a boy ;) We bought a new dress and shoes. I spent the afternoon before the dance doing her nails, hair, and makeup. She looked beautiful and I know she felt wonderful about the whole "look". After getting ready, I took her over to a friend's house to take photos and have a nice sit down dinner. A group of her friends were there and the lovely parents who hosted this did a nice job of getting the food (from Macaroni Grill ... we all chipped in). After the picture taking, I left where {e} and friends enjoyed a meal and then were brought to the dance (in the HS cafeteria) by her friend's parents. THIS IS WHERE THINGS WENT DOWNHILL. Other kids arrived at the dance DRUNK. Some kids were wildly dancing (grinding stuff). Some boys were sliding across floors with their ties around the...
