YAY!

I'm just glad that this day is here.  This morning I woke up, took my girls to school, and then headed over to a local church to vote.  Of course the polling place had people form two lines based on your last name.  I got to go on the line that was so S*L*O*W where I saw people on the left line leave within 20 minutes and I was there for 100 minutes ... lucky me. BUT, I voted and I am HAPPY with my choices.  I voted knowing very well what was important for my me and my family.   Whatever the outcome, I just hope and pray for our new President/Vice President. (((SIGH))))  I wonder what I will watch on TV or read on the internet/newspaper NOW?  It seems for so long I have been a little preoccupied ;)

A little "funny" for fun ;)

This election is so ugly to me

7 days left and I can't wait until it is done and over with. I'm tired of the attacks and especially tired of reading the nasty, vulgar comments that I find on many sites. I don't know why I have been sucked into reading so much that is out there. Part of it is curiousity ... I'm human. HOWEVER, I feel like I bounce from site to site reading way more than I need to and it really is having a negative effect on me. Has politics always been this way? I would imagine with the internet, things are way more "in your face". THAT SCARES ME! I think there are a lot of people out there acting and speaking in very sinful ways. What will it be like in the future? Will elections to come get even uglier? I'm sure a lot of the morally reprehensible behaviors (NOW) have a lot to do with the current state of our economy. That doesn't excuse the evil words and actions that so many partake in. People can be so manipulated by the media and because their sensitivities have...

TODAY marks the first day of a nine day prayer campaign

ELECTION PRAYER (Please Pray Daily) “Ever-faithful God, we consecrate the 2008 U.S. presidential election and our entire nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Loving Mother, Patroness and Protectress of the Americas. We ask that You take our Nation into Your Loving Care, reach into the hearts of the electorate, and give them the strength and enlightenment to know your Will, and to exercise Your Will in their vote. Abba, Father, Thy Will Be Done!” *Consider joining in prayer every night until Election Day at 9 PM.  I've put the Novena on my sidebar.

I am feeling cautiously HAPPY

about the choice of Sarah Palin . I don't typically talk politics.  I am not confident in my ability to converse well on the many topics at hand.  I've done it a few times and every time I feel defeated. There are plenty of people very good at talking the talk .   Many are passionate about their beliefs and opinions. Some I believe are just not willing to really listen. I grew up often believing what my parents believed.  I think a lot of us may have. Where is this going? As time has gone by my beliefs have changed.  I went off to college "thinking" I was pro-choice.  Part of that was wanting to be like others and I do think it was what my own mom believed (at the time).  I've moved around a lot, life and GOD has impacted me, and I certainly am not the same person I once was. There are those who are single issue voters.  I do think that makes for an easy choice. But is that the right way of thinking? I still don't know where this is going ... To be 100% for a...
