iLove iPods and iPhones

Of course they are not ALL mine. Just the hot pink Nano, the green Shuffle, and one of those iPhones ;) Husband had the original white and then black iPod. When he would mow the lawn, he would use the little silver Shuffle. Now he just uses his iPhone for everything. Daughter #1 had a black and now purple Nano. Daughter #2 has a turquoise Nano Daughter #3 has a red Nano. These little devices are used A LOT ... for music listening, audio reading, podcast listening, games, email, internet searching, facebooking, navigating, and oh so much more. Hard to imagine that just 5 years ago we had none of these handy items. Even stranger to me is the idea that my littlest one has no idea of a life without. It's AMAZING all the gadgets and technological advances that have happened within my lifetime. I still remember rotary phones with curly long wires, life without cable, 8 track tapes, records, Atari video games, the original Macintosh Apple computer, VCR's (we still have one for the...

Stop TEXTING Silly Girl!

I'm in the kitchen cleaning up when little {c} ... the four year old, says to me "Mommy, Daddy is on the phone for you!" {c} had my phone and was playing a matching game ... or, so I THOUGHT. When I got on the phone with my husband he told me his conversion play by play ... {c} texted my husband 4 x with MY iPhone. Daddy called and little {c} knew it was him because his picture comes up ;) She asked "did you get my texts?" He said "yes, I was going to ask you about them. I wasn't sure what you meant" Little {c} replied "they were about the show {k} watched ... Charlie Brown" Then I got my phone back. I think little {c} realized her dad wanted to talk with her mom ;) I should be more careful when letting little {c} play with my phone. Who knows who she'll TEXT NEXT?

We are LOVIN' some of these APPS

{c} and her Daddy just having some quiet time together ... I do have an iPhone, but often it is in the hands of someone much younger. WHY, you may ask? Because there are some very cool applications (apps in Apple terms). Some of {c}'s favorites ... ABC Animals ... if you have a child learning to recognize, say, or write their ABC's ... there's an app for that! DoodleBuddy ... doodle and draw (this one is fun and FREE) Matches ... memory matching game Some of Mommies favorites ... Facebook (blushing) The Weather Channel ('cause some 14 year old always needs to know what the humidity will be like) Shazam (when I need to figure out WHO SANG THAT?) Postage (fun way to share photos) iConfess ('cause this mommy needs that reminder) Twitterific (that little bird is so cute) Sirius XM (I've been known to walk around the house with ear buds in listening to my Catholic radio) Holy Rosary Awesome Note Lite ... this one is SERIOUSLY COOL and FREE! Daddy of course likes...
