TGIF update ...

Long week ... very , very LONG (and expensive gas) week! Thankfully my taxi-cab of a car will get a little rest today. I just came back from all school mass at our Church. {b} said her intention and did wonderful (spoke loud and clear). I had to chuckle at one little boy who said his intention because his parents must have stressed the need to be loud and he sure was. {e} did a great job altar serving. I brought my shaky video camera and hopefully I will upload it later. COUNTDOWN to FIRST HOLY COMMUNION .... 52 hours . I hope our family stays healthy. {k} has a "bug" right now, but thankfully the fever has broke (for now). Later today I need to run "the dress" to the store where we bought it. They said they would press it. First I need the rain to stop. WHY OH WHY did I wait until today to have it pressed?????? I have really enjoyed watching the coverage of the Pope's visit . A few days ago I caught some commercials on EWTN that were really very good. You c...

My husband just went ...

HERE LUCKY GUY!!!!! He got into NY last night for a quick business trip. He was hoping to get in a METS game, but the people he was meeting with felt bad that he was traveling alone and thought he needed a dinner instead (silly folk). I think my husband would have preferred the game. Tonight he will be home, but I am so glad that he was able to squeeze in mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. I have stepped foot inside many times, but never have I sat for mass. He did the whole deal and even snagged some goodies from their gift shop ... can't wait to see.

Another busy week ahead ...

Today ... homeschool standardized testing. This is our first time at that. Only {k} has to take it. We did a lot of review on test taking skills and practice tests this past month(she has done great). I want her to do well for HER. It would also be nice if maybe she had some improvements over last years test. Selfishly, then I would feel good for ME (knowing I taught her). I don't "love" these tests because I don't (lots of reasons), but we have to take them. The rest of the week is filled with learning, school, swim team practice, track practice, church on Wed. night, track meet on Wed. night, Communion practice on Sat., youth group retreat (for older daughter) on Sat., Family Day at my husband's work on Sat. and dinner at a friends on Sat. (gosh SATURDAY IS FULL!). Little {b} is saying an intention at all school mass on Friday. She will read "For all those who have died may they share in the fullness of life with Jesus Christ". Hopefully she will pro...
