I think I'm ready for SPRING ...

I'm sure that is a common thought considering how cold and snowy this winter has been for so much of the country. Now granted, I'm an east coast girl who is used to weather, but it does seem that once February comes, I am pretty much done with the cold days. My heart goes out to those who live in the tundra areas of the USA because I'm not sure if I could withstand the winter lasting well into April. Hopefully here in my neck of the woods, we will start to see some greening of the grass and milder temps by mid to late March. While it was fun to see some of this ... I can't wait for the start of some of this ... sunny, warm days with flip flops, t-shirts, and capris. Ahhhhhh, sounds wonderful, huh?

YAY ... it's SPRING!

What I look forward to ... GREEN grass YELLOW tulips PURPLE flowers on budding trees BROWN mulch freshly placed in gardens RED crimson clover even ... W E E D S .  That means my grass is getting ready to start turning from it's dead looking state of brown/yellow/gray to bright GREEN and GROWING. Yesterday I even caught a sniff of freshly mowed grass.   YUMMY!!!!! Spring also means ... capris flip flops t-shirts less bulk in my laundry 70+ degree days heat goes off in the house  (lower bills ... yay) gardening car washing bike riding more walks red cheeks on children who run and play more I LOVE SPRING!!!!!!!

10 THINGS SPRING ...

10 THINGS I LOVE about S P R I N G ... Green grass, blooming trees, and flowers ... basically I love COLOR ! Outside play time Flip flops, sandals, skirts, sundresses, capris, and short-sleeved shirts Gardening My inner desire to organize, declutter, and clean The laundry bulk lessens (with 5 children that is a big deal) BBQ weather SALADS and fruits Sitting in a car warm from the sun My excitement about taking more PICTURES *I like to title this photo " Hair is a flower for you Mom!" (that darn wind)

I just love this blog ...

This Pioneer Woman has been cracking me up for the past few days while she has been updating her site. On day one I caught site of her cute hound, then it was her husband and child from the rear (blushing), and then it was her cartoon version of herself. I have tried a few recipes and they are quite yummy, but MAN, the pictures are just fantastic! I'm so glad she made some changes and now I can view all her tricks EASIER than before! SPRING is here and I am always motivated by the season! (wow, look at me ...posting 3x in one day). I need to get out and take some more pics.

It's not much, but ...

You take what you can get when you live in the south ... As predicted by days end, the temperatures rose to 45 degrees and our 3 inches of snow turned to MUD ! Pretty, huh? I wonder if this little sled can double up as a BOAT?

AHHH ... glorious S*N*O*W

Our first and I am sure the very last of this winter. This NE girl misses that white fluffy stuff. My girls miss it too. Only three got to play out in it this morning. The other two went off to school. Who knows how much will be left by days end??? Tomorrow the temps should reach 60. I "think" that today was {c}'s first outdoor snow experience. She loved it ... especially the taste ;)

Sounds lovely right about now ...

You Belong in Fall Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times... You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you What Season Are You? I am growing weary of the triple digits. Looking out of our learning room I see the beautiful trees blowing in the wind. It almost looks like a "cool" day, but I know if I walk outside it will be a HOT BREEZE. Bring on the FALL!!!!!
