Just running my mouth ...

This would be the day that my blogging voice is just a bit forthcoming. I know I will not be able to say what I want in the way that I would like to.  The way my brain works lately I feel like there really is no order, so I will just list the crazy thoughts that are going on in my head ... my heart has been racing the tears seem to flow really easily some moments I can't catch my breath I'm having a hard time dealing with slow moments and really fast paced moments ... seems there is no in between. I really want to exercise more ... that really helps with my mind I wonder if I am qualified to teach Sunday school ... am I holy enough? I feel guilty for not playing enough with my 3 year old I seem to be in such a hurry when my children want to ask me something suddenly I think I have more time than ever, but I can't manage it I feel like I should be doing something more productive ... tackling home projects ... something I miss my girls when they are at school I miss my husba...

EXACTLY!

I really enjoyed reading this today.  No, I am not someone who people around town know as "momto5minnies", but I totally got how the internet me and the real everyday life me are just a small part of who I really am.  I think I know who I am (most of the time), but only GOD knows EVERYTHING about me.   My voice here is probably a lot more reflective and open than what it would be in real life, but I think that is because I am much better at writing my feelings than saying them out loud.  That is,  unless you talk with my husband who would say that I am quite the talker when it comes to saying what goes on in my head ... but that's just to him ;) Interesting ...   What is YOUR VOICE like here and there?

BRING IT ON ... FALL

I am just SO READY! Where I currently live, fall really is the nicest of seasons ... when it happens (around late October).   I am looking forward to ... the cooler temps the really BLUE skies the broken in jeans  the long sleeve shirts the (cool) mornings when I get to warm up my butt with the heated seats in my car the fading freckles on my face the jazzier music that I find more seasonal (note the change in my playlist) the beautiful fall foliage the pumpkin spice coffee that I can NOW order from Keurig the air that I breathe when I run is just not as thick the time with God that I pray ... seems I just need to say more this time of year the new shoes that I look forward to buying (soon ...) bike rides with my girls pumpkins and all the recipes that I like to make that include PUMPKINS camping outside with my family taking PHOTOS ... lots of them ... this is a warning ;)

Wordless Wednesday

Sharing some YUM!

If you have not tried IZZE sparkling juice ... I highly recommend it.  I have not tried too many of the flavors YET , but I am sure I will very soon.  Sparkling Grapefruit is just so good .  I would imagine it could also make a nice cocktail by adding a little somethin', somethin' to it ;)  It's too early for that so I may just suggest something sweet (like this chocolate chip muffin) to go with it. PERFECT!  Enjoy your visual.

My 80's Hunk ...

Besides the one that I married ;) Your 80s Hunk Is Jason Bateman Who's Your 80s Hunk? HT: Pretty in Pink

"EYE SEE even better now Mom!"

Miss {m} has amblyopia  , but not an extreme case.  Every day she has to patch for about 90 minutes.  After 7 weeks, we are starting to see a little bit of improvement with her weak eye.  The vision isn't any better, but depth perception is better ... this shows the right eye is getting signals from the brain (? hope that makes sense). Anyway, she has great humor about her new look ;)

Monday's Mission ...

FEED MY FAMILY BETTER! I will admit that this is a big weakness on my part.  I love eating good food, but I don't necessarily like being the one to prepare it.  Most of the time it is because I am not well organized in this department.  My family doesn't eat all that much junk food, but the variety and creativity is just not happening.  To be creative means that I have to search for good recipes, menu plan, make detailed grocery store lists, and actually COOK.   The usual routine in our house ... Big grocery shop on the weekend (although since I no longer homeschool, I am trying to avoid weekend BIG trips) with one or two short stops in the week. Plan 3 dinners (I know that there are 7 days in a week ... I need to plan more) "Think" about what dinner will be sometime in the day, but not really decide until minutes before I need to feed my family Cook that dinner within 45 minutes (on a good slow day) of sitting down to eat it. THIS PLAN REALLY DOES STINK! The witching...

"It's GOOD that Mom finally has a job!"

... these words coming from the 6 year old. I guess all these years I have been just a trophy wife that likes to do odd jobs around the home for free.  Sometimes I pop out babies  ... making sure they don't get hurt, driving them to the pool, buying them snacks, and organizing playdates.  Oh, I also make sure they get fed, clothed, and educated.  I even throw in a few pointers on how to behave and be good people. Before I was JUST a mom . Now I am a Sunday School Teacher . I still don't get paid with money. What if I tell my 6 year old that I work from the heart (no paycheck) ... that I am just trying to share The Good News of Jesus with others?  Will that still be a job to her? Hmmmm ....  Maybe I should just tell her that I do get money (an allowance or paycheck) from her Dad, but that I prefer to spend it all on my children. YES, that's what I will do!   I do have a job ... t w o in fact ;)
