Quote of TODAY ...

‎"Take lots of photos, no matter what your equipment or ability or availability. Just take them! You’ll never regret it." - Pioneer Woman ‎

Marching ...

And thinking about this post from last year because I just read THIS POST a little while ago. WILL YOU MARCH? "Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide. My Administration is dedicated to the preservation of America as a free land, and there is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human beings, the right without which no other rights have any meaning." ~Ronald Reagan ( Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation) "I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself." ~Mother Teresa

Quotes for Thursday ...

Sounds like a nice idea ... let's see if I can keep this up ;) I love finding quotes that fit in perfectly with todays issues.  Hmmmm ... I can think of a very old book that works well EVEN today. "It is only by believing in God that we can ever criticize a Government. Once abolish God, and the Government becomes God . . . Wherever the people do not believe in something beyond the world, they will worship the world. But, above all, they will worship the strongest thing in the world.” -G.K. Chesterton    My heart has been very heavy these days thinking about the world we live in.  The phrase "politically correct" is just going too far in my opinion. We are all about making EVERYONE happy when I'm not so sure that is THE PLAN ... that it is even possible.  I've heard the word BIGOT thrown around a lot lately.  Ugghhhhh ... name calling just makes me so angry.  There are many that say that we need to keep religion out of politics when religious groups have alwa...

Some random quotes ...

It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. -J.K. Rowling Peer pressure only works on people who don't know what they believe. Your attitude toward life has a huge impact on what you will be motivated to achieve. I actually found these in my daughter's school day planner.  The latter two quotes didn't show an author, but I really liked them.  As my girls start the new school year I have noticed some comments about what everyone else has or what everyone is wearing or doing.   It is at this time that I feel I need to have some good material ... some perfect words of wisdom that don't seem too preachy.  Eventually the "newness" of the school year will be gone and for the most part my girls will think and act for themselves ... at least I hope so.
