Sorting through clothing today, I stumbled upon

Little girls all wearing matching LANDS END bathing suits

Problem now is that the biggest girl is 13.5 and the baby will be 4 this June.
Matching suits while adorable for a certain time, would look plain silly on my bunch NOW.

I can still shop for adorable suits for the 3, 6, and 8 year old, but that 11 and 13.5 year old don't want to look at anything from the LE catalog anymore (especially that 11 year old).

What I have noticed this year is that the bikini's are itty  bitty ... so little that I think a bit of personal grooming down south would have to happen in order to wear.  Take these suits for example ... from dELiA's
I actually think these may be mild compared to the images I saw in the catalog I received (and tossed).
Now, I am not opposed to bikini's, but most of what I have seen this year are so very MINIMAL.

My beautiful 13.5 year old daughter is a lot curvier this year than in years past.  I know it, but I'm not so sure I want the world to see it ... yikes!

But I stumbled upon this site today.  Just check out that capped sleeve swim suit.  Isn't it cute?  I'm not sure my daughter would go for this selection, but honestly, I would have to think that there are swim suits out there that don't REVEAL so much.

I'd hate to make her wear her swim team suit all summer.

The suits from the link are adorable. They are modest but don't have that "trying to be modest" look. My 16 year old might even like some of those, although she is completely opposed to bikinis.

Cute photos of the girls in matching suits! I still could pull that off with my daughters, but I know it won't last forever. While I was reading your post, I was going to suggest checking out the exact same site you already found!! I saw it yesterday for the first time, and I think the suits are so cute!

Awesome site!! Thank you so much for posting. My oldest is 10 and every year we struggle to find something that will keep her covered. I think it's nuts that suits for the little girls are just as bad as the older girls. I too love the capped sleeve suit!

Feeling every bit of 46 ... ugh!

When I was 45, I was feeling fabulous.   I was fit, energetic, and I thought I could easily pass for 40;) Age was just a number and I certainly didn't think I felt or looked my true age. Then February 11th came and I turned 46.   I have sciatica on my left side, my left knee is stiff, and I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot.   I've resorted to stretching all the time and popping the occasional anti-inflammatory.   There are dark circles under my eyes that I've had to start putting concealer on.   My hair is growing out from last years 45 year old short hair, but it's just in an awkward stage.  I can't decide if I want to cut it again or let it grow out.   I even thought of styling my hair differently by doing a different hair part.   That was a terrible idea because I was SHOCKED to see how much gray is now growing in the center of my scalp.  I also think my metabolism is slowing down because my mid section seems a little thicker ... ...

A scattered post ...

I throw myself into stuff all the time.  It can be anything from the start of a swim season, a new school year, the election, a vacation, an exercise routine etc.  I'm kind of in a phase where I really don't know what my focus should be.  I turned on the television and honestly, I have no idea what is on this fall season ... NO IDEA AT ALL .  If I watched television in the past few months, it was something kid related or Fox News. I NEED A NEW FOCUS. My current thoughts  ... reading a fictional, just for fun book stepping up my exercise routine thinking about our Christmas wish lists and shopping baking more ... I really am slacking in this area ways to save money so that we can get a new (second) washer and dryer for the upstairs (not a fancy kind because this would mostly be used by my oldest two children)... I actually have hookups. I wonder if a lot of people go through a sort of "lull" period this time of the year.  Surely it doesn't last long with the start ...
