Called "I can NEVER make up my mind"
At the start of a day, I will stand in my closet and just look at my choices. Some days I just wish the clothing would jump off the hangers and onto me. I wonder if another's pick would add a new dimension to my same old, same old clothing ;)
This week I found myself returning two halloween costumes that I bought a month ago. My girls NEVER saw them and since they were creative enough to make up or find costumes that we already had in our house, I decided to send the purchased costumes back to the store. It was then that I thought I could just buy something for me. The potential buy - UGG boots or ones that look like them. I'm sort of a casual girl that wears jeans most days and these boots would look cute ... I think.
Now I've done a little research and these UGG boots are not that cheap, but they make many, MANY knockoffs that are A LOT cheaper. So I decide in these hard economic times that I don't NEED the real thing (I would feel GUILT and I experience enough of that). So off to one store, then another, back to the internet, and then back to two more stores. I find many options and try on countless boots ... some a few times over.
In the end what have I got? NADA!
I can't decide which boot or color that I like best. Unfortunately I tried on the "real deal" and they really are the nicest pick . They fit better and look nicer ... but that could be in my head. Inside I am torn because I don't NEED these boots ... I just WANT them. I then grapple with "should I get a knockoff?" or "should I just forget the whole thing?"
Whenever I decide I will get something for ME, I often end up just forgetting the whole thing because I can't make up my silly mind.
Does it really look nice on me?
Will I really wear it?
Is it comfortable?
Is it a wise decision to even buy?
4 different thoughts going on in my head at the same time is not unusual. If I have to think that hard on something, then I decide it was not really worth it. This condition of mine is quite torturous.
So I still don't have boots, but I wouldn't mind at all if someone else would GIFT me some (real or knockoff) ... wink, wink!

M had the Bearpaw version from Famous Footwear last year and those seemed just fine!

First of all I'm all about subtle hints! Go for it.
Secondly, I also can't ever make up my mind - I always was slightly annoyed by people who returned everything - or just couldn't decide - and I think I've become a "returner"! It's so hard to think you should spend the money on yourself when most of the time we don't think twice about spending it one someone else.
Now for my UGG endorsement. I like the boots - Maddy got them for Christmas last year from Aunt Liz - my single sister who has the big, fat paycheck! And she wants to keep the title of "favorite Aunt" so she'll pretty much stop at nothing.
That being said, we also do a family grab bag - with a $75 limit - and I really wanted the UGG Crocette slipper/cloggy thing.
Can I just tell you - they're INSANE! They're comfortable. I wear them with NO SOCKS - and my feet are never cold - NOR are they ever HOT. You don't sweat in them like other synthetic type linings.
So, I think they're worth the splurge. You're beautiful, you're smart and dog-gone-it people like you! (or however that goes! :)
Hugs!
